Class D Dry Chemical Extinguishing Agent (Sodium Chloride) – Specialized for Metal Fires
Class D fires involve combustible metals that burn at extreme temperatures, reacting violently with water, foam, or ordinary dry chemicals (which can trigger chemical reactions or spread the fire). Our sodium chloride-based Class D agent is designed to counteract this:
– Active Ingredient: High-purity sodium chloride (NaCl), milled to a precise particle size to optimize heat absorption and coverage.
– Fire-Suppression Mechanism: When applied, the agent smothers the fire by forming a molten, oxygen-blocking crust over the burning metal. This crust insulates the etal from oxygen, cools the surface, and stops the combustion chain—even at temperatures exceeding 1,000°C.
